Digital optical/coax

i have one optical cable and one coax cable... i want to be able to hook up my x box and dvd play digitaly but the xbox only has provisions for the optical cable so that leaves me to use the coax for my dvd player...

my question is will DTS playback be as good as the optical with the dig. coax ?

Yep. There will be no difference in sound, as both are digital connections. It's just light in one vs. electricity in the other.

i was worried that my reciever might not alow playback of DTS if it wasnt opticaly connected...
