Digital jukeboxes/music servers

<font color='#000000'>I am thinking about getting a digital jukebox or music server instead of a CD player (multi-disk), but I don't know if they are worth it. So, I have some questions, if anyone can help.

Questions:

What is the difference between a digital jukebox/music server and a mp3 player or a computer? Is the sound quality better?

Does anyone know anything about imerge s2000 or escient fireball?

Is a touch pad (Creston) really important? ($$$)

<font color='#000080'>I'm finishing up an article on the Yamaha MusicCAST system, a digital jukebox/streaming server/client system.

The server is generally capable of PCM playback, while MP3 players are not. A server is also more of a consumer audio device, while an MP3 player is a lesser-made portable device.
