In setup*there should be a "YES" input for SUBWFR. For LFE, select SUBWFR only if you leave speakers to SMALL.

I tried driving the subwoofer directly from my laptop (using a headphone jack to RCA cord) and the sub still did nothing. I just called cadence and they are going to send me a new amp.
