These prices for what the buyer receives are very reasonable. Want insane...? Subscribe to Stereophile as I do/have for many years and you will see insane! These are mid-fi prices. Can I afford it? NO. Not at all...but if I could you bet they would be in my rig or something like it for example the next Para Halo series, etc.

I thought people from Stereophile buy things like $100,000 Mark Levinson Audio-Video processors + Amps?

$14,000 Denon stuff is pocket change, right? Not even worth the look.

That is awesome exciting news!

Okay, I might have said some slightly negative remarks regarding the price, but I sure would love an IN DEPTH DETAIL review of this beast!

Please include crosstalk, THD + N, frequency response, SNR, and output impedance, ALL @ 20 Hz - 20 kHz.

I think we all want to know how this beauty actually compares to Krell, Mark Levinson, Cary Audio, McIntosh, Anthem, etc.

How to connect one subwoofer to two receivers

I have two Denon receivers, one for my music and the other one for my Home theater. My dilema is that I disconnect the subwoofer fromn one receiver and connect to the other. Is there some kind of switch that I be able to use instead of connecting/disconnecting?

You have done a comparison and found that one receiver had better sound for music than the other one?

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the review. I'm really hoping it mentions the pros and the cons of this unit. You wouldn't happen to have an Anthem D2 to compare it to would you?

Someone on another forum is saying units have been recalled because of an overheating issue (I think with the video processor) but they weren't sure if all units were needing repair or a particular batch.

His unit just arrived at the dealer and he was given the option of taking it with the known potential issue or sending it back - bummer for the guy - I'd be very dissappointed.

Got a chance to see the Denon pre/pro and amp today at the EHX 2008 in Orlando. Quite an impressive and massive set.

I also got a chance to see the new Marantz pre/pro and amp today. Looks almost the same as the Denon. Granted, the units on display were just non-working demo units. But after a little search I found the link on Marantz's site. It looks quite impressive, too. Don't think it's due on the market for another month, though. I also didn't have the nerve to ask what's MSRP.

I haven't heard much about the AV8003 although it certainly is interesting. I'm only mentioning rumors I've heard so they could be complete horse hockey but I heard it won't be out until June but it should go for much less than the Denon PrePro.
