Well they sent me a box and a mailing FX ticket but also stated that they would wait for a opinion from the repair shop before deciding if it is a warranty situation.

So they told you NOT to ship your x6700 yet until they give the go-ahead?

They are probably trying to find if they have any spare boards, around. If it is like my experience they won't and the unit will be junk.

Marantz have had my AV 7706 now for about six weeks and I have heard nothing. That had only three months of use. I don't need it, and will sit back and just watch how they deal with a unit that had only three months use into the warranty period.

No they sent the custom box and pre-paid shipping label. I would hate to finf myself in a situation like TLS Guy
I have not shiped yet as I am 73 years young and in moving the 8X8 3/4 inch oak entertainment nnation(not a diy unit) I pulled my back and can't get it out at this time. Sooo I have been working with it and replaced the HDMI and installed a fan. It seems to work now but I have not gone into Audessy yet where it told me I had no front speakers in the gain adjust while it saw them on the tone recognition.
