Denon vs Harmon Kardon?

Hi: I still have my pioneer Elite 56txi may finally be able to replace it! Using Axiom m-60's, VP-150 center,Mirage 190's surrounds,no sub at the moment Wondering between the 3311/990 vs 2600/3600 which would be the better choice in terms of sound quality(music in particular) and reliability? Since I live in an apt. not sure I need the pre-outs of either the 3311 or 3600 would I be giving up much in audio quality going down to the 2311/2600?Since I live in Canada not sure I'd be able to go the refurb. route when ready to buy? Thanks for the help

P.S Being on low income(Disability) is why this is taking so long(already being 18 months ) not jerking you guys around with asking for all this advice!!!! hoping by the holidays to pull the trigger!!!!

I prefer the 3310 if 3D is not needed, otherwise the 3311. In pure direct stereo mode the sound quality between the 3311 and 3600 would likely be indistinguishable.

I think you could step down a bit to the Denon 2311 or 891. Go with the 891 if you don't need the HD radio - is that even available in Canada with the same format as the US ?

My vote is whichever is the cheapest, assuming it has the features you want or need. Both are good products from good companies. Yes- there are 'lemons' in all product lines. But the bottom line is that they are both decent AVR's. Go with your gut, and what your wallet can handle.

It took me a year to decide on an AVR, by the way. Never a need to rush things...
