I've got a denon tx-sr606 that has an auto-calibration option. What are some opinions on the quality of this feature? I've gone through the application and it measured the speaker distances incorrectly, and the lpf for the sub was set to 120 hz.

OK I do believe you meant Onkyo on the maker of that Denon makes the AVR-..... line of products....

In any event, as far as the auto-calibration goes it is common, depending on the level of the correction software, to get incorrect speaker distances---especially on the subwoofer. As for the cross-over frequency, that really depends on what kind of speakers you have...If you have small bookshelves then this would be correct. However if you have large floor-standing speakers then something might be a bit off....

If you give us more information on your room....seating listening position and distance....as well as the models of the speakers you are you, we will be able to help you out much more....

Hey sorry bout that I had the denon website pulled up when i typed that. Anyways, I'v got that onkyo and the klipsch quintett series III surrounds and klipsch 420 watt synergy series 10'' sub. A PS3, a basic cable box from comcast not hd. A stupid little wii and the samsung 650 series 40''. The layout is simple tv and main couch opposite from each other, with a love set perpendicular to the right arm of the couch. sattelite speakers mounted about 48'' from the floor, and sub in front left corner with no surrounding furniture to block sound waves. Here's a few low quality pics.
