Hi guys, I'm hoping someone has read a review on the Denon DVD 2815. i was leaning towards this machine but after reading the great review on the DVD Audio with the Yamaha C750, I decided to research this further.

I already have a SACD 400 Disc Sony Multidisc player that doesn't play DVD-A, for this reason I'm looking for A DVD-A player along with the fact that my new car has DVD-A that I m buying dics for.

The Denon 2815 does not play SACD but that doesn't matter to me because I'm gonna keep the 400 disc Sony for SACD.

The way I see it, the extra $100.00 for the Denon gets me the DCDi by Faroudja decoding engine. Is this worth the extra cash? I don't have a HD TV yet but plan on getting one in the next year or two.

Also is it true the bass managment crossover on the Yammie can be lowered from 120 Hz if you set your front speakers to large?

Thanks to anyone who can provide some insight! :)

i recently bought the yam dvd c750 and quite enjoy it. although it does lack the dcdi/farajau chip Yamaha has a single disc version with those features and was selling for about 100$ more. if your buying this player only for dvd-a there are many players with that capability for 2-250$ less than what i paid for the c750, but they wont be as high end. I dont know if youve sampled the dvd-a at all since you said your sony is sacd only and i am just starting to get into both but personally so far i think that the sacd, in terms of sound quality is superior. The only pros that i see with the dvd-a is the video clips and artist info as well it seems there are more artists available on it. Myself i will be focusing much more on building a sacd collection and wait for the artists that i want as opposed to buying them on dvd-a now and sacd later. yamaha makes a single disc universal player with the faraja and hdmi for about 100$ more then the c750. you could buy that and sell your sony but then youll be getting up a lot or if hdtv is not a concern buy the 5-disc c-750 and sell your sony. Either way the yamaha probably is a better player sacd even though sony devolped the technology. hope i helped :)
