denon avrs.. made where?

just wondering where their made..i could look but somebody's most likely knows and saves me time i know that their a Japanese company but usually they contract out to china to make them, im hoping this isn't the case

New models are made in China. Older models were made in Japan. And what's if they were made in China?

cause china makes a lot of crap, and are notorious for bad practices, i would pay more to have it made in japan then china

over here, the 23XX and below are made in China (i have the 2307, and no problems with it)

the 28XX and above are made in Japan.

That would be the case for all countries - higher models are manufactured in Japan. Marantz is the same way. 8xxx and 9xxx are built in Japan.

You could have just looked on the rear of your receiver, it says where it's made. Denon also has very good pictures on their site.

My Denon 3808ci is made in Japan. My 3930ci and 2930ci DVD players are made in China.

I'll take this one step further. Be prepared to see US take 2nd place behind China as an economic power. If you take a serious look at the things you have at home, I'd bet that over 75% of it is made in China. Thats just the manufacturing. US/Canadian/European companies have built offices in China and India in the last 15 years nad have moved alot of their design centers over there. China is already showing major signs of entering the high tech sectors with their own in-house designs and products. Its going to be a rough ride for all of us until all of this balances out.
