Denon avr3300 hiss on pro logic

My Denon AVR 3300 displays a noticeable and annoying hiss in pro-logic mode regardless of input (cable, vcr, dvd). I have replaced all cables and the outlet has an isolated ground. When I switch to direct mode, virtually the hiss vanishes.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?...it appears as if the unit may require factory service... All other features work ok...except the on screen display for the surround moves in slow waves. The picture on all modes is perfect...

Any ideas are welcome.

My Denon pro logic is playing left channel on Monday and not playing on Tuesday.Not very good brand.Many problems .

All DSP modes will exhibit some hiss. It's the nature of the processing.

Whether or not it is too much is the question. Can you hear it from your seating position at normal volumes, or do you pretty much have to stick your ear up against the speaker to hear it?

This is not just a little hiss...it is very noticeable at all volumes below ear bleed.
