Denon-avr1611 connect to PolkAudio PSw10Subwoofer

i connected my Denon-avr1611 connect to my PolkAudio PSw10Subwoofer and i get no sound. subwoofer is plugged in , yet i get no sound. any ideas on how to set up the reciever (manual is no help). any help plz. thanks everyone.

Try looking through http://batpigworld.com/, and if you still can't get it we'll try and troubleshoot the problem.

First off, you better get used to that manual. That unit is a bit more complex than a toaster oven and you should learn to play nicely with it.

Next, go through the steps between pages 6 to 11.

Does your screen look like the screen shown in the center of page 8?

Get back to us and we'll see what happens then.

Oh, the sub is powered up and the level conrol turned up, isn't it?

What mode is your receiver set to, stereo, pro logic II, Dolby Digital? You may need to make sure your speakers are set to small, and crossed over at around 80 or 90 hz.
