Umm...I kind of like the 659 as a pre amp if you not need HDMI...heck it powered my system as good as the 200 watt/ch ext. amp...

You make it sound like someone said something bad about the RX-V659.

I would take the Denon 5803. Hook the HDMI directly to the TV. Use the Analog inputs for TrueHD & DTS-MA. Much better power and quality IMO.
