You can't go wrong with the Denon 4802R. I have had mine for a full year now and love it. There is plenty of power which I need since I am running the Polk Audio LSi15s, the LSiC, a pair of Bose 301s for the surrounds and a Klipsch Model 10 subwoofer. Shortly, I hope to can the Bose for the Polk Audio LSi9s for the surrounds, the LSifx speakers for the rear wall and the new LSiW subwoofer.
Keep in mind that the LSi series of speakers are 4 ohm and certainly the 4802R has absolutely no problem running them. The sound from the Denon is excellent and I find very clean. I hooked this receiver up prior to getting the LSi speaker and even on my ancient Epicure speakers, the difference in the sound was incredible. Since I listen to classical and jazz music I am extremely critical on the sound.
When you listen to a dvd in the THX Ultra 2 mode the sound is fantastic.
You might watch Crutchfield and local dealers closely on this model. I have heard that it is being phased out. The new receiver 4805(?) will probably include some of the updates that are on the new 3805 & 5805. Better bass management, etc.
Still, I don't think you can go wrong! Good luck!
