The leader of what??? ;-)
I'll *** u me you're talking about the 3805. If so the Denon specs are:

Rated power
120 W + 120 W @ 8 ohms 20Hz - 20 kHz 0.05%
160 W + 160 W @ 6 ohms 20Hz - 20 kHz 0.07%

Dynamic Power
140 W x 2 ch @ 8 ohms
210 W x 2 ch @ 4 ohms
240 W x 2 ch @ 2 ohms

Dunno 'bout the rest,.... I figure I can't hear it so I don't worry about it. But thats just me and my Marine Corps (too many guns, not enough ear plugs) hearing.
I think most Denon products are at or above average,.... but my opinion does not mean much to your ears.

HT Labs measures:Denon AVR-3805

This is pasted from the article:

Five channels driven into 8-ohm loads: 0.1% distortion at 114.9 watts; 1% distortion at 125.0 watts

Analog frequency response in pure direct mode: –0.11 dB at 10 Hz; –0.03 dB at 20 Hz; –0.16 dB at 20 kHz; –0.89 dB at 50 kHz.

This graph (can't paste the graph here) shows that the AVR-3805's left channel, from CD input to speaker output with two channels driving 8-ohm loads, reaches 0.1% distortion at 132.2 watts and 1% distortion at 162.3 watts. Into 4 ohms, the amplifier reaches 0.1% distortion at 218.4 watts and 1% distortion at 243.0 watts.

Libor, if you really want to "like this brand", read the November issue What hi*fi? Sound and Vision (a British magazine, and I believe the NAD is a British designed product). They reviewed the NAD T773 and the Denon AVR-3805. Which one you think they rated higher, you be the judge.

Have been What Hi*Fi's website looking for the reviews, but can't seem to find the review. Would love to read the reviews on both, as I am lookin gto upgrade my system.

Sometimes reviews are not available on the website for a while. I guess they want you to buy it. I bought the November issue from Chapters (Indigo). In what they call the "Megatest", they did rate the NAD T773 highly but it seemed that they like the Denon even better, using words like fast, articulate and precise, sensitive to sonic subtleties, will shake a room without the slightest stutter, power mixes with refinement, weight with warmth, scale with qulaity, ...the thunderous low-frequency explosions in Behind the Enemy Lines remained controlled, but still have you cowering for cover behind the sofa if you dare crank it up.......

Reading the whole review on the Arcam, Pioneer & Denon (the high end category) left me with the impression that the Denon is the more powerful one.

The Denon AVR3805 paired with the DVD3910 was picked the winner in the "Megatest" high end one-make home cinema category over the Pioneer & Arcam (AVR300/DV79) pair.

The NAD pair was in the mid price category but they paired the T773 with the much lower priced T533 DVD player. In that category the Yamaha pair (RX-V1500/DVDS550 was picked as the winner. The NAD lost because of the weak DVD player not because of the receiver.

I had only 4 receiver in the past 20 year, probably a very small number to many of Audioholics members. But I personaly think that once your able to classify different brand into 2 or 3 different class; Low, med and hi end, it's the different model of one brand have in that class compare to the other brand, that make the company name. Now to say witch brand in witch category is the best, have too many "personal" variable . Just like feets, no one have the same ear, two person might wear the same size 10 shoes, but only one feel comfortables in it and that no matter how build quality that shoe is.
