Denon 5805 Differences

Would someone please explain the differences amongst the three flavors of the 5805; plain jane 5805, 5805 mKII and 5805 CI. Thanks in advance.

Denon AVR-5805 Original Version

I have the original Denon AVR-5805. I am not sure to all of the differences but I know that the MK-II version will pass a full 1080P video and also gives you your onscreen display via the HDMI. My 5805 will only pass ether a 720p or 1080i and the onscreen display is via component, S-video, or composite. If you check the Denon web site all the differences are listed via a pdf download.

5805 only scales up to 1080i

5805 mkii - scales to 1080p, and has an extra HDMI input

5805CI - does everything mkii does but also has provision for internet radio and can accomodate Audyssey pro calibration

all 3 units however are limited to HDMI 1.1....

you can use the standalone Audyssey mic and preamp and do 32 point calibration. The 5805 mkii lacks the added memory module to do this.

I though that but could not see where to hook up the mic. I have already read that article. Thanks. That unit is hugh. Finally i found this web page to show me the hookup.
