Thanks J......yeah....my USB serial bus adaptor just arrived last night, I've arranged to take this Friday off and I'll have the house to myself. Like anything new there will always be a learning curve....I've played things out in my head(yeah...like that's going to do me any good..lol) because the Anthem maunal itself is not a great resource, straight forward that lacks in depth explanation...but AVS has a extensive owners thread with lots of helpful links & info which will guide me through this process....

Thanks again...:)

After I ran Audyssey twice on my Denon AVP-A1HDCI & Salon2, it gave me 3 grahs: Audyssey Off, Audyssey On, & Audyssey Flat. They did not look identical, but they looked very similar overall (I recall around +/-3dB, no big dips or anything), with only minor differences.
My Audyssey flat is +2/-1.5 from 63 to 16K, if I ignore the 63 and a little spike at 2K, I get +/- 1 dB. Audyssey is very similar just some intentional roll off in the highs according to Prof. Chris Kyriakakis . However, that's just frequency EQ, we don't really know what it did in the time domain. Just that if I go by ear, it does not make my system sound better or worse, but as I mentioned many times before, it did a very decent job for the bass. I tried dialing in my SVS sub that has some basic REQ adjustment built in, but it was a timing consuming task and in the end I didn't think it was better than Audyssey XT's auto calibration. Now if I had one those JL Audio sub then it may be a different story.

What are you trying to do with the USB serial bus?

ARC is pretty easy to run! If you have a subwoofer that can play under 20hz, go to advance after running arc and set sub to flat!

You mean your MRX does not even have USB2, I am disappointed..:D Your laptop does not have USB3 right? I won't have time until I retire, so please plot me a graph of your sub response after you run ARC, or better yet, show us both before and after. I will settle for just a narrow band between 25 and 80 Hz.
