DENON 3910 Owners- Question on Black Level Enhancer

Just curious for those of you who own this player what your thoughts on the Black Level Enhancer in the player are? Do you use them? Does it matter either way if you calibrate using DVE or AVIA?

As an FYI, I am using a 60" Sony SXRD Display.

I don't use it, but isn't it for HDMI/DVI only?
