Denon 3808

Does anyone know anything about the Denon 3808 or the 3807? It was rumored to debut at CES. It is supposed to replace the Denon 3806. Any info would be great. Seemed like I read alot of info about it leading up to CES and then nothing since CES started and ended....

They are expected to be released around May. I'm sure that a lot of that tech will make its way into other products down the line. I'm hoping for something like the 2307 with video scaling.

Yeah, I heard/read about the seperates but I was "informed" that Denon was suppose to debut another product (the replacement for the 3806) but I never heard any info on that. Did they only have those separates at their booth? Did they really have no other product to show? If that is the case then I am really bummed. Thanks again for all the feedback.

Does no one really know about the Denon 3808? Man this is horrible. I really like the 3806 but I thought it would be nice to get the new receiver that is "suppose" to be coming out soon. But if no one really knows anything about it then I am not sure what to do.

I will make this my last attempt to put the thread to the top. after this, I will let the topic die.. Just wanted to try one more time.. Any helpers out there that know about the denon 3808?

As far as I've heard, the 3808 will not be available before June/July time frame, but we're all gonna hear about the new models a while before, so give time to time, as informations are going to leak on & on...

Denon was not on the floor at CES (nor were any of the D&M companies as far as I could tell). They had a suite at the Aladdin, which (depending on with whom you spoke) was either open to all or invite only. I never managed to get over there.

My question is this... Based off of these rumors... would the 4308 be worth the extra 900 to get or should the 3808 be enough for what I need???

Also, what is the Audyssey MultEQ used for and what is the difference between 6 of them to 8 of them (besides 2!) Thx

In your space, the 3808 will be sufficient. The difference in the Audyssey MultEQ is the number of positions it uses for its room correction calculations.

Like the "ci" upgrade for the 4806 line, I hope Denon offers and upgrade to HDMI 1.3 and onboard HD audio processing. I can't see it being more than a HDMI board replacement and Firmware flash just like the ci was.
