Like Snarl said, both are great receivers; each has their following. Don't base your decision on how many "votes" you get for each. Make your own decision; I believe you'll be happier about it later on.
It is my belief that you'll not hear one iota of difference in sound quality from these receivers, assuming their equally adjusted and not driven to clipping. Any receiver selection, I believe, should be made on the basis of price, build quality, power, features, connectivity, aesthetics and ease of use. Both receivers are well-built and have plenty of power, features and connectivity. My advice is to go to the stores where they sell them and spend some time with each. Work the controls both on the receiver and the remote. Make your decision based on which is easier to use and which looks the best to you. Good luck!
