Denon 3805 and Ipod

Maybe a dumb question, just wondering if my 3805 is supposed to show "analog only" on the display when plugging my Ipod into the front V.AUX jacks. Is this jack anaolg or is the Ipod analog no matter where i plug it in, like in CD on the back of the 3805? Thanks

BTW. I like the sound of the Ipod through the Denon...as you can adjust all the different EQ settings, gives you some different sounds...good bass punch!!

iPod connections are only analog.

Thanks rgriffen!! I was assuming that it was. So there is no difference what jack you plug it into...and the fact the V. AUX is in the front, much more convenient.

I have to say I noticed a difference going from a cheapy cable to the Monster cable. The only one they sold here was the Monster, so I had to bite the bullet..$50 Canadian.

I use the front panel jacks on my receiver too. It sounds better than I expected.
