I purchase my 3313 at the end of July. Right out of the box, it worked perfectly. My TV was plugged into HDMI output 1 and my projector output 2. Cablebox HDMI1, DVD HDMI2 and so forth.
Any way back in September my HDMI output 2 stopped working. After trouble shooting and talking with Denon, they said it needed to be sent out for repair. Fortunetly there was a mom and pop store by me. They said the hdmi board needed to be replaced, however Denon did not have any new boards since last years Tsunami, so the repair shop had to send in board to be repaired. I am not sure why there would be no new boards when they are selling new units? After getting receiver back, I plugged in everything just the way I had when first purchased. I immediatly notice that when using cable, the picture was choppy. When I pulled up Denon onscreen menu it kept flashing, again while on cable/sat on receivier. I did not have this issue w DVD player or any other device, just cable. Picture was perfect, and no flashing menu on screen while using other devices. I swapped cables and same thing. I also shut off anynet on my television. One other thing I did was go into Denon menu and select Video and HDMI on so I did not have to have receiver on while watching tv. Now when I shut off receiver, the picture flashes on and off and the screen is snowy. I spoke with Denon again, and all he said was I need to send in receiver again. I also called repair shop and he said more than likely it was an issue w cable box and I should go get a new cable box.(one reason he mentioned this was that tristate area had just lost power for over a week, including me and it might have affected cablebox. He said cable boxes have been causing issues w hdmi boards(not sure if I belive that). So does anyone have any suggestions? If i send it back for repair, I am sending the whole unit to the repair center in NJ. The mom and pop shop only sent out the board, and did not take time to test whole unit(it is just not cost effective to them). At least if the actual repair center has whole unit, I am sure they will test the thing out. Rich
