Denon 2910: How do you go back to a previous firmware version?

I upgraded the firmware on the second Denon 2910 I have owned. No coincidence that the center channel volume went down considerably on both after this upgrade for me. Can someone tell me how to go back to your original firmware or does anybody have a link they can send me??

I don't own a Denon or bother with flashing firmware on HT components, but I can tell you that there is close to zero probability that the prior version is backed up so you can't simply revert to the old level.

You would have to obtain the prior firmware version you want and re-flash it. Perhaps the Denon site has older versions; if not you will have to hope that someone has the older version saved somewhere and can email it to you.

Your better off emailing Denon and giving them your serial number and see if they can email you the original.

I have a 3910 and have upgraded twice with no problems. I would not try and flash back to your orig. version. There must be something else happening here. The proceedure for creating CD's for the upgrade is a bit tricky. You might try the dedicated 2910 owners thread at AVS Forum. Many 2910 users there. You might also try e-mailing Jim McGuinness jmcguinness@denonnj.com. He has been very helpful to me in the past.
