Denon 1911 Center speaker issue

I just got a Denon 1911 and the center speaker when in 5.1 sounds very muffled or almost like an AM radio / Telephone quality.

Is it my speaker?

All vocals going through it on movies and tv shows sound like crap.

any idea? is there eq settings to up the treble on it? anyone have similar issues?

Swap the wires with another speaker. If the problem follows the wire, it is on the receiver side. If it follows the speaker, it is the speaker.
