what would be a better choice for my system Infinity primus 162 fronts, primus 350 center, primus 210 sub, polk rc65i inwall surrounds, samsung 50'' plasma, panasonic blue ray, denon 1610 or onkyo 507, room is 11x18 I would only use a 5.1. 7.1 is really not an option for my layout, Thanks soo much for the advice.

The 1610 has my vote as it's amp section is probably a little more robust and it has Audyssey MultiEQ rather than the 2EQ on the Onkyo. Also, Onkyo's are known to run hot and are generally less reliable compared to Denon.

whats the difference between multiEQ and 2EQ ?will the multiEQ sound better?, they seem very close what would make you choose the denon? thanks for the help as you can probably tell I am new to home theater but I am really getting into it ,I listen to my system now and it sounds awesome so to finish it off would be a good receiver and I am ready to rock, I just put in a movie for the kids"BOLT" and the whoke room is rockin

The MultiEQ is a more advanced form of Audyssey. It'll measure up to 6 positions instead of the 3 used by 2EQ. The Denon has the better Audyssey, better amp section, more reliable, and runs cooler. I don't see any advantage the Onkyo holds over the Denon except it may be easier to setup initially. That said, either would probably do fine.

I second what rnatalli said about either doing fine. Aside from more measurement points, my understanding is that MultiEQ corrects lower frequencies than 2EQ.
