Which models? That makes a big difference.
I love my BP10b fronts and 8b surrounds in my HT. Recently, I tried the 10bs in my 2-channel system again (for the first time since getting new electronics) and love them there also.
My current setup is the 10bs for stereo, the 8bs for HT mains, and my Boston VR2s (previously used for stereo) for HT surrounds. This is a satisfactory arrangement, and I may leave that way. (The Bostons, of course, are also great for stereo, but quite different.)
Okay, Joe, I think you hold the record for rearranging your speakers the most times per year! It's a good thing you have the 60lbs BP10Bs and NOT the 160lbs BP7000SCs!:D

It is shocking that AccuDefTec never responded to this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For sure.... I thought he would have been here ranting and raving about "MY PRECIOUS".... hehhehee

He truly has an affinity for those speaks...
That album is smooth as silk, and showed off those Def Tech's really well...
Well, I'm usually over at the GENERAL section.:D

Yeah, I do have an affinity for those DefTechs & numbers/specs--probably too much for the numbers part.:D

Greg and Wrapdrv just talked me out of being down another $1,400 for 2 pairs of the BP10Bs for my surrounds!

Those BP10Bs are just something else. Actually sounding that good in person for $700/pr (discounted)? Going 20Hz-20kHz +/-6dB for that price? How did they put the bass in there without putting subwoofers in them? Sure, they don't produce as much bass as the BP7000s, 70001s, & 7002s. But they sounded to me like they actually produce as much bass as the 7004s & 7006s, which both have built-in subwoofers and cost more!

Okay, I will see if I can actually HOLD OUT until next Christmas and get these BP10Bs for myself.:D

The simple solution is to buy whatever sounds good to you and take a lot of the print and online reviews (good or bad) with a grain of salt.
Actually, I don't ever recall reading any reviews in which the critics say, "These speakers are really bad".:D

It seems like they are bribed to say good things about all the speakers they review or something.

You just gotta home audition them. And return them if you don't like them.

I have a bad feeling that his wife drew the line, and actually kicked his Buttocks out of the crib....

He scared her one too many time with that monster... :)

Way to go bro... !!!!
We watched "The Metador" with Pierce Brosnan. There were scenes in that movie with impressive bass that really pissed off my wife. She made me turn down -6dB! Actually, she wanted -10dB, but I stood my ground!:D
