Def Tech surrounds question on BP1X and BP2X....

Going this route for sure, just wondering if the upgrade in price is worth it for surrounds in a 35 X15 ft room dedicated for only Movies.

I am going to have 2 sets of surrounds. Will the BP 1X prs be enough or will I should I spend the money and get the 2X's.

Plus I am going to have Def Tech 7004 fronts with powered subs in their body. I know I need a dedicated sub anyway, but my question is....

Since the Def Tech fronts have subs already, what size sub will I need for this room. What brand will be sufficient? Or do I still need to go with a 12" sub from places like SVS, or HSU.

I would go with at least a 12" sub, something like a SVS plus series. As far as the surrounds go, I own both, and when I upgraded from the BP1.2x to the BP2x in my main system, I didn't really notice that much of a difference. I bought all my def tech speakers used, so I didn't spend a ton of money on them, but if you can find a good price on some used BP2x go with those, but if you are buying new, save your money and get the 1.2x.
