Hey everyone,
So new to the forum and site and looking for some advice/help.
I currently have a Pioneer Elite receiver with 1 sub input. Was looking to purchase the Definitive Technology Bi-Polar 8040's or 8060's for my Home Theater Room within my house, in addition, have the option to purchase a velodyne sub for a great price from my friend. My question to all you audioholics (no pun intended) is that I am familiar with the fact that the Bi-Polar's need a rca splitter to send the signal to from the receiver to power all subs within these towers, but how would you incorporate the velodyne within this system to really turn up the low end portion.
I see that there is a subwoofer thread on connecting multiple subs, but what if someone was looking to do 3 or 4 depending a. if they want extreme amount of bass for movies/music and b. is that even something that can be accomplished?? what about a amp to power separate subs, can this connect to the receiver?? Please help with any advice/solutions.

AJ

The first option would be to run your towers and integrated subwoofer all by themselves and see of everything sounds like.

If you are missing some bass, you will need to use at least 2 Y-Splitters: 2 outputs will go from the receiver to your speakers and one output to your subwoofer.

What are the dimensions of your room? Maybe you'll do fine with the main speakers themselves since they already have built in subs.

My 2 cents.
