Dedicated AC line questions

At this point I am seriously considering running two 20 amp lines - 1 just for the amp and one to plug the Belkin power conditioner into with all other devices plugged into it.

That's what I ran for my equipment.
I only suggested the one 15-Amp circuit, when you said it was to be dedicated to just the one amp.

That's interesting, but I would double check the NEC. I know in Canada (typically follows NEC) we don't have requirements for any 20A cct in living rooms and family rooms. Are you sure this requirement is not just for certain states/cities etc.?

That was the requirement when I built the house in 93 and was in the books in school for residential code. Same for dining rooms. I am trying to find it on line

It applies to new construction.
I don't think this work is being inspected, and even if it was, 210.52 doesn't apply to the dedicated circuit the OP is running.

No, it would not apply but I thought if his place already had a 20A circuit in there, then that could have saved on adding another branch and all the work that goes with it. And, if it is not in, well, no reason not to run a 20A and that would satisfy both needs.
