If anyone is going to be trying to put together a nice 2.1 pc system I just did this for my office {my real office not my home/play office, which is very similar but different}..
Audioengine d1 dac $140 {ebay}- I own 3 of these and by far the easiest to set up

Carver ma 202 amp {this is essentially a dayton apa 150, but when I opened them up side by side they are a tiny bit different the carver has a different front plate with the light in a diff. spot, and it has a little larger transformer and a few of the capacitors are a little larger, and different color wires here and there... Both have same rear chassis, and same fan, but the carvers volume control looks to have larger parts to it... The dayton has a ground plug the carver does not... The dayton is rated at 75x2 the carver is rated at 200 bridged at 8 ohms... I can not tell a difference...
But the carver cost me a couple bucks less I offered this seller $135 for it and he accepted so, even though Bob Carver didnt make this amp and it is from china it sounds good and is built like a tank... For $155 shipped...

Simple sub at a great price, works really good for music... $110 on sale
Dayton Audio SUB-1200 12" 120 Watt Powered Subwoofer 300-629
and I finished it all off with a pair of Ascend 200se's bookshelfs {have to fall in love with these little guys when you hear them.... $300
so I had the 200se's but to buy everything it would be about $700, thats not bad if you hear how much room this easily fills up... My home system is very similar but I use an emotiva miniX with 170se's and a wharfedale sw300 sub...
I use the volume control on the dac since the amp is under the desk, on my home pc system I use the amp since its right in front of me, I notice no difference in sound quality...
But anyway nice $700 system it makes my $500 focal 2.1 pc system sound broken {my son took that over for his laptop...}
