Wanted to get some opinions my budget is around 1000-1200 room size is 20'x30'x8' I lisen to classic Rock and a little jazz.I know little to nothing about speakers.will be used with a ht setup when i can aford it.Looking for something with good hi and midrange, bass not so important have a svs pb12-nsd ordered. I have a old Sansui Rz-7500AV reciver and a old pair of DCM-TF600. Thier is nothing around my area but a bb and cc so I can't lisen to to many speakers. I've looked at some Axiom M60-v2 online at 900$ a pair. Was hopeing to get some feedback as where to look online and what brands and modles to check out! Just starting to reasearch the speakers. hopeing to upgrade my old sansui to a yamaha RX-v663 in a few days! Any help opinions and feedback welcome thanks for ur time and trouble forgive my spelling and grammer.

Listen to speakers

Wait, that's not a speaker I just recommended.;) I'm being serious though. A forum is not a place to ask for recommendations for speakers unless the goal is accuracy alone. If you are buying based on what pleases your ears, then let your ears decide.;)

I always suggest auditioning speakers, not buying unheard.

My suggestion of the Jamo C 607 floorstanders, was for you to audition them.

^^^That is the best advice there is. But also keep in mind if you find something that spec wise or review wise is to your liking a lot of manufactures offer a 30 day buy back deal.

Just an idea good luck

The OP stated "Thier is nothing around my area but a bb and cc so I can't lisen to to many speakers"

IMO the forums are a place for recommendations if all you have is a BB and CC available.

I think the Axiom M60 would be a good choice. As with AV123, you can check Axiom's Hearing Things forum to see if there is someone local to you who can give you an audition.

Where do you live?

I'm just 20 minutes outside (northeast) of Charlotte North Carolina. If you're in the general area, I'd be more than happy to let you audition my Jamo C607, Jamo C807 and Wharfedale Opus 2 floorstanders in my home, if you want.

Well, if you're heading to Atlanta from that area, it's really not that big of a detour to stop by, before heading down to Atlanta.

My sister lives in Knoxville.

If you decide you want to make a pit stop over here, just let me know.

The music is always playing, over here.:)
