The 10" is on sale too for $100 w/ free shipping...I was strongly considering the H100, till this came up...I don't think that Dayton 12" price can be beat..

Please know, I am in no way pushing my H100.

But the build quality (I am sure) is much better on the H100,
and then the obvious, the H100 is a much nicer looking sub.;)

But as long as the spec #'s are correct. Then they should perform similar.
So I am sure you will be happy with the Dayton.:)

The price is very attractive. I have a Polk Audio PS350. It's a budget sub with a 10'' woofer. Would I gain anything significant by upgrading to the 12'' Dayton sub? In other words, would you recommend that I upgrade to the Dayton sub? Thanks.

Go Dayton. I'm not sure what polk you have, but I doubt it will stand up to the Dayton.

I agree with Brian though. H100 is much nice to look at then the dayton, and its spec'd to the same FR. He's selling it for a good deal too.:)

FWIW, the Dayton 10" can hit 25hz (tested with a test tone).

They dayton 12" has a newer look that I think is nicer... but it won't be available until 12/20.

The packaging must suck bigtime. I've never seen so many complaints about damaged subs.

In another thread the $100 Advent was suggested as a cheap sub and the Dayton is slightly more. I have seen a lot of people recommending the Dayton, especially in the price range. Depending on budget, these are the models I have boiled down to:

Advent ASW1200 $100
Dayton SUB-120 $120
JBL E250P $240
Cadence X-Sub $250
BIC H100 $265
HSU SFT-1 $320
SVS PB10 $400

I just ordered a pair of BIC DV62si surrounds to replace my old mains that are too cumbersome that I was using for surrounds.
