Good morning. Glad that you got it to at least partially work for you. There's some things that you can try, and at least one other option to get audio from your analog cable.
1. To revisit something that I mentioned in one of your previous threads, try going into the audio menu on the TV (audio section in manual starts on page 32,
http://elementelectronics.com/Manual...910_manual.pdf) and change the "SPDIF Type" from Dolby Digital" to "PCM" to see if that will give you audio through your Sony (I see that you changed from the RCA) for your analog signals.
2. You can also, as you've mentioned before, connect a VCR to your cable feed and run the analog audio out from the VCR into your Sony receiver.
Try not to get upset at Comcast. They are willing to rent you equipment to get your setup working. However, I believe that you can get it to work without their equipment. I don't think the fact that the video signal is analog is causing your problems. I think that it's just a setup issue.
