Okay, so you play SACD or DVD-Audio through the 5.1 analog outputs of your player. I believe the DACs in the player convert the digital signal from the SACD or DVD disc to analog and the signal is passed to the receiver as analog.
What happens after the analog signal reaches the receiver? Does it pass through the receiver as an analog signal? Or does it get reconverted from analog to digital and then back to analog?
Y'know, I'm starting to resent the companies who foist these copy protection problems upon us.
