I'd start by saying that I have no clue which DAC Honda uses unless you could find schematics or detailed photos of entertainment system boards, but does it matter in any way??
I have two honda cars, a passport 2021 and an accord 2018, both in EX-L trim, which includes premium audio systems. Both are android OS based, and both do WIRED car-play and android auto. However, both are different in a few important ways related to audio.
Newer Passport has (what I feel like) an OLDER system, which doesn't support FLAC playback from USBs. It also has only one USB port, which could be used EITHER for car play OR USB storage. Where in accord I use both USB ports and my 128GB USB stick is filled with FLAC music, mostly permanent in the USB port inside the center console storage box in accord. One possible workaround in Passport is to use built-in storage of about 8GB, which you could copy your mp3 files to and play later.
I know what accord 2021 and newer has WIRELESS Carplay, but I have no knowledge of which system is used in CR-V, but if it's lacking wireless carplay, it's not the latest one.
Since accord plays FLAC files, and I have some of them HD FLAC, I didn't notice issues with playing them, but I can't say if HD audio is downsampled/dithered to lower bit depth.
