I would have been very happy with a basic $500 HTIB, but now since I've started 'learning'................... Wait until my wife sees these, Aperion Audio Intimus 533-PT Tower Speaker, being delivered to the house because we 'need' them.

Careful with the surprise attacks. They could backfire. I brought my wife to audition speakers at four different dealers and let her express her preferences. Then, I picked what I liked from her choices. This way, I know that she will like the sound and she knows why the budget ballooned the way it has. She didn't like any cheap speakers, so she can't complain, nor can I.

Yeah I hear you. Luckily we're in a pretty good spot now and as long as the kids college fund doesn't suffer she's OK with just about anything I get. Wait until she starts hearing about that new XC full sus bike I need, and one for the son also he's 6 now and ready to go.
