I’m thinking about buying a new AVR with Audissey. What new , comparable one would you suggest? I like the one I have but ...I have an urge to get something new. I know you guys know what I mean!

What's your budget?

Keep an eye on Amazon daily and nightly. Sometimes you will see the Denon X3400 for $599, which I saw a few nights ago, but then the price went up to $799. Full regular price is $1,000.

Also keep an eye for the Denon X4400 on Amazon. Price may go from $799.

Both the Denon X3400 and X4400 have the flagship Audyssey XT32, which is the same in the $7,000 McIntosh MX122 pre-pro and the older $7,500 Denon AVP-A1HDCI.

Opinions go both ways, some hate it some don't. I've had good success with Audyssey XT32 but haven't tried YPAO.

I
I've had good results with YPAO.[/QUOTE

I'll second that. YPAO sounds good to me as well. I know audessy EQ's bass automatically, and technically that's where EQ is needed the most. People here can tell you about the sound all day long, but the only true judge is your ears in your room.
