In my quest to find out what was the issues with my system I have no put myself into another issue. I thought I had a problem with my Onkyo receiver sounding too flat but it turns out that it's my Polk RTI-8 speakers having too much mid range in them...... So know I am looking to replace my Speakers.
I went to the only high end store in my town {sound advice} to listen to some speakers today.... I came away loving the Martin Logan speakers, but they are way to much money for me. And they have a sweet spot in them. They only sound good at sitting level. Now I tried a few Klipsch speakers to try and find the highs that I was looking for.......They seem a little to harsh in the high range however for me.
Any suggestions for a speaker that would sit somewhere in between the Polk's and Klipsch high end tweeter range?

Have you looked at the Def Tech stuff.I really like their speakers. They are bi-polar so they are not for everyone, but they might be worth a listen for you.

How exactly do they have too much midrange? Just wondering. You could also try and find a Polk Audio LSi, which is more laid back than the RTi and other series.

DefTech is a good suggestion. I might suggest the Paradigm Studio as I've always liked how they sound in the midrange band.
