I've heard great things about these amps, and apparently there are some mods to take care of the fans.

Well, I went and picked one up at the local Guitar Center during lunch for $250 OTD. I plugged it in and the fan is pretty loud for a home audio application. I'm going to look into some silent fans. I'll post my impressions after I listen to it for awhile.

So is the amp for the DV64's? BTW, how much better do your BIC's sound with the EFE mods?

Yeah, for the DV64's. Might be overkill, but actually made a nice difference from my limited amount of listening last night. Seems to be quite a bit more dynamic, but I need more time getting everything setup and calibrated.

The EFE mods definitely made a positive difference. The speaker seems warmer and more accurate and balanced. 2 channel listening is much more enjoyable to me after the mods. I would highly recommend it.
