So I put myself in another pickle.... I got the Energy RC-10s, which are GREaT!! And a Polk PSW10.. I wanted a center and on a tight budget did a dumb impulse purchase and got a Energy Veritas V-Mini-C.. 2 Way.. It says that it goes down to 78hz, I'm not sure it really does. I need a recomendation on the crossovers please. Thanks

If it says it goes to 78hz,,then 100hz..or possibly (at a push)90hz..
80 would be far to close to the limits of the speaker
Mine go to 50hz....crossover at 80hz...i'd try 70
If the receiver would let me...80's probably best though

Someone with a better audio vocabulary will be along in a min ...;-)

So I set it to 90hz.. I was calibrating using my spl to 75. Exited my GUI menu before lowering the volume.. I think I almost lost my hearing, it was only for about 20 secs.. But man I was REALLY worried about blowing my speakers. How would I be able to tell ?

I was wondering if after my calibration should I higher the center to about two DB higher than the rest ?

Use your test tones and your meter....then
Fine tune it by ear over a few weeks over a variety of
Sources...personally, i find myself using sky

Careful with the centre as it's obviously smaller than the rest
