What's interesting about that list is how closely the max output curve for the DD18+ resembles the VTF15h in one port mode. Even the max long term output charts are very similar. I'd love to get these subs in a room and compare them qualitatively. The DD18 has less distortion, as you would expect, but the VTF15h looks like it does quite a bit better in the impulse response chart. I'd love to know what that all sounds like.

I just bought a PSA XS 15 ($749). I bought it for music. For the price it is definitely more than worth it. It is not as loud as some other ported subs but music sure does sound sweet! I'm going to post a more detailed review once I tune it in and get it placed just right. I get the feeling the sub size is a factor for you. The XS 15 is not huge but it is not small either. Weighs about 70 lbs. If you need something smaller and more compact I would consider the SVS SB12-NSD. Weighs 35 lbs. ($699). The HSU SLU-15 is a little smaller as well however it weighs more and cost more (82 lbs./$1049). I don't much about Rhythmik.
