I just took a chance and bought a used pair of Definitive Technologies Tower BP 10B speakers and a Definitive Tech. subwoofer without any model number. Its called a Powerfield sub. A plate on it says 700 watts. The woofer measures about 8.5" diameter. The seller didn't have the instruction book. Can anyone give me any info about them?

Many thanks.

Thanks Ej1 for that link. It had a picture of the sub and from the dimensions and weights of the various models in that line, it appears to be ProSub 100. Other data about the speaker features matches mine. The spec shows it has a 10 inch speaker. I remeasured the speaker cone and got 9" visible. The other inch could be the overall measure extending beyond the baffle cut out, or it could be that speaker manufacturers are like the lumber industry where a 2x4 is really 1.5x 3.5. The Pro 8 box is definitely smaller than mine.

Also found some info about the BP10s and am satisfied with the deal I got. They all look like new and sound great. $250.

I've owned the BP10B before. They are very nice. Julian Hirsch reviewed the BP10 speakers in Stereo Review back in the 90s. He loved it. He measured the frequency response to be 25 Hz - 20 kHz +/- 3dB and 20 Hz - 20 kHz +/- 6dB, which is fantastic.

One thing about these BP speakers. You need to give them a lot of space. For example, you need to keep them about 3 - 4 feet away from the back & side walls and about 7 - 9 feet apart from each other.
