Could this be my new remote?

For nearly 2 years, I've *****ed and whined like a baby about remotes. I've submitted that there should be offerings that:

1) Provide an RF solution so that you don't gotta hold the buttons down or have issues with equipment in cabinets.

2) Do not cost more than $400

3) Look as good as the equipment it's controlling.

There a tons of remotes that have any 2 of the 3, but not that have all 3... in my book anyway.

I've been thinking the Harmony with RF could be the one... if it ever comes out, but this new remote from Accoustic Research looks promising!

Thanks for sharing the discovery! If online programming the ARX18G is as easy as, or better than, the Harmony series this could be killer.

When are they going to be available to the public?

Has it been released yet? The article said it would be reviewed after release but I didn't see an update link.

I thinik for a lot of folks, only one remote is needed. I really don't have anything complicated enough anywhere else in the house to warrant a higher end the remote. We have a couple LCD's in the bedrooms but that's really about it.

Besides, the last thing I want is for the remote to be leaving the room. I can never find the cordless phone and I don't want to add the remote to list of things I have to hunt for.
