Correct Amp for Sub

Looking for someone with more knowledge than I have to pair the right amplifier with this subwoofer.

After my initial install the bass was horrible. I ended up building a box inside the wall, which improved the ouput significantly.

I still feel like I have the wrong amp powering it, I still feel like it's under performing.

Any help is appreciated and if you could link the correct amp I should be using.

What amp are you using now? I'd look for an an amp capable of 2-4 ohm and to a power level to meet your spl goals. There are sub-specific amps or you could use a pro amp. Is this the only sub you're using or will be using?

The issue is that it is not really a sub. Its F3 is 36. The next point is that adding drivers does not lower F3, just increases power handling.

You built a box, but have no idea if it is the right box.

Every driver has Thiele/Small parameters. Knowing these by measurement allows you to tell if it should be a sealed box or ported box, and how big the box should be. Two drivers requires twice the box volume of one.
