Converting AVI to DVD formats?

Does anyone know of any freeware programs that will do this effectively? I'd prefer something lightweight that does the job and doesn't have all the extra stuff I don't want.

Im not an authority on this subject, but i looked for the same thing a few months ago and came up dry. I found plenty of freeware that would work but all of it had a watermark in the screen. I gave up trying to find it for free.

Good Luck,
Tommy

I'm trying DVD Flick right now, I'll let you know how I like it when the DVD is finished burning in the next few minutes.

DVD Flick performed very well. It's going to be converting all of my stuff from now on.

well i tried this out today, its not bad for freeware. I cant get a quality DVD out of it yet. It may be the program, or it could be the settings im using. I am using the default program settings. The problems im seeing is choppy video and the audio is a tad out of time. Anyone have more experience with this program and experiece the same issues as i have? If so were you able to get rid of the issues?

Thanks,
Tommy
