Why can’t we connect to the MusicCast wi-fi? We have had MusicCast cast before through our iPad and when we updated the MusicCast app it says we have to have the MusicCast wi-fi and we cannot get it to come up. We have the highest speed nbn but it still won’t come up with the wi-fi.
Occasionally, an update will reset the network connection. The last one seems to have done that and mine needed to reconnect- I had been having problems with my connection before the update, but it may have been an issue with my Spectrum equipment- I recently changed from ATT and IMO, neither provides good equipment. I had been using the wireless connection and it was problematic but I went back to using the wired connection and it's much better. I would recommend adopting the "Wireless is for convenience, wired is for performance" attitude, if possible.
Speed has nothing to do with connection quality. How many devices are using your wireless network? If you want an easy way to find this, download Fing to your smart phone and use it. Also, do a speed test with your phone from the MusicCast's location. If the speed is slow, consider moving the antenna (the cables aren't expensive) using an SMA male to SMA female cable. I have seen them as long as 25', but the length will vary with supplier.
