Is it possible to connect a speaker switch so I could select the Marantz or a different receiver to play up to 3 zones of speakers?

where does the speaker switch connect to the Marantz?

DO not use a switch to connect receivers to different speakers. That way you end up connecting the receiver outputs together accidently, destroying both instantly.

You can use a simple speaker switch, and that connects at the speaker leads. Do not run more than one set of speakers at a time, or you will drop the impedance to low, and blow your receiver.

Do not connect more the one receiver to any switch in the speaker outputs EVER.

I was referring to a speaker switch that allows u to connect more than one receiver. This is an issue?

You bet it an issue. Do not even harbor that idea for a second. That way you will be out your equipment, or poor replacing it. I'm telling you, your idea is a disaster, get it out of your mind now!

It can be, but only if it allows the receivers to be connected to the speakers at the same time.

You would be much better off using binding posts that connect to the speakers and jumpers from the receivers that have banana plugs- if you see that speaker wires are connected, you'll know that you need to disconnect one, in order to use the other. NEVER disconnect speaker wires or other cables when the equipment is ON, always turn it off.

Plugs similar to these would work because you couldn't connect both at the same time but you don't need this brand- you should be able to find something that costs a lot less. Don't worry about using expensive speaker wire, either.
