If you are starting from scratch, it seems as if it will be a lengthy process. Too long and complicated to be explained on a thread. Has your husband ever hooked up a computer, stereo, or home theater? If not, I would suggest having a friend or relative who knows their way around electronics come over and give you a hand (friend, relative, & sons of them are always a good sounding board regarding this). I cant tell you how many systems I hooked up for friends of my parents when I was growing up! If there isnt anyone you can think of, i would see if the store you bought the equipment at will help. they might charge a fee but it will be minimal with a purchase and could be worth it in the long run. if the store you bought the equipment doesnt offer any "at home" services, then you might think about getting outside help from a specialty store...one that specializes in home theaters. That approach could cost a pretty penny so exaust all your friends and relatives first!
If youd like, List what city you live in and maybe someone here can offer a reputable store to call.
Is this a present for your husband???
if so, you get TONS of points!
