I want to connect a BOSE acoustimass 3 to an amplifier SONY STR-k870p, but even if I select the option "2 channel mode", on the display shows the icons L, R and SW, and speakers sounds without bass frequencies.

Using those two units is not possible.

That Sony unit is part of an HTIB. It is designed to be used with the Sony speakers it came with. It is an old obsolete unit. I found a manual. The internal crossover is not able to be switched off.

The acoustimas 3 has its own crossovers which are are higher than average due to the miserable small satellites.

So you are out of luck.

Rule 1). Avoid Bose like the plague.

Rule 2). Avoid HTIB units.
