computer speakers?????

i was wondering what you would recomend for 2.1 computer speakers. I am a poor college student so i only have like $200 to spend. I was looking at the logitech z2300. please help me out.

i've always had good luck with altec lansing speakers ...

At $200 I'd be partial to the Klipsch iFi myself. It's an upgrade over the Klipsch 2.1s, and the for one the subwoofer definitely stands above that of Logitech subs. Logitech subwoofers have the tendency of being very cheap and boomy sounding.

Klipsch ProMedia. In your price range you can afford either their 2.1 system from B&M or ebay their much better 5.1 Ultra system new. BTW stay away from their GMX line of cheap gamer only stuff.

I was just at best buy yesterday and was able to do a side by side comparison between a Bose 5.1 PC speaker system($250) and a Klipsch 5.1 setup($150) and I laughed at how much better the Klipsch performed. If I remember correctly it was a Logitech system that had a sub that rattled a bit but it was a bit cheaper. In my opinion the best setup there was the Klipsch.

I did that the other day too, no joking those Bose are crap, they have no range or power.

I have a $30 Boston set that keeps me happy. I have Altec Lansings at my office which I don't use much, and a Logitech system at my parent's house.

All 2.1 setups.

i ruled out the logitechs because i heard how their subs sound and i am thinking about a pair of klipsch 2.1s or altec lansing mx5021 or fx4021.

also the altec mx5021's are fifty dollars more than thr fx4021's and i was wondering if they are fifty dollars better. i am kinda a frugal bastard when it comes to things and i just want to get my monys worth. pleas help me out. thanks

also i was looking at the altec fx6021s and they are a lot more than the mx5021s which i think i will get but they didnt seem like you would get much more out of them. somebody help me out.
