Hi,

If I were to use a composite to s - video adaptor, would the signal still be of composite video quality or would it be of s - video?

Adaptors do not change the signal qualty, only the connection type, so the signal will remain the same quality.

Plus, with video, the difference between composite and s-video is nearly impossible to notice.

If you are looking to improve quality, then always start with the best possible image quality on the best possible connection type. HDMI (HDTV) or VGA/DVI (PC) is the way to do things.

Yeah - if you have a High Definition screen, using SVideo or RCA jacks would look horrible. If your screen supports any of those connections.. it would be a shame if you didn't use them.

FWIW ivè seen sd cable look better on RPTVs when hooked thru s-video.
